As we dive into 2020, it's always nice to take a moment to reflect on the past year. Maybe you follow our social media and already know that 2019 was a great year at Cornerstone Architects, nonetheless we'd like to share a brief recap on the last year of the decade and what you may or may not have missed!
We were super excited to have TWO separate projects featured on the Austin Modern Home Tour in February! The Ledge Residence and the Lakemoore Residence both had a huge turnout on the day of the tour.
A couple of months later we had another project featured on the NARI Tour of Homes! Our Jessie Residence project was a featured remodel project near downtown Austin. The home's transitional farmhouse design combines traditional forms with farmhouse and bohemian elements which assimilate the home into its eclectic neighborhood.
We were awarded Best of Houzz for the EIGHTH year in a row! Our Lakemoore Residence earned a MAX Award and our Wallis Residence was the Classic Architecture Regional Winner in the coveted Luxe RED Awards!
In addition to awards, our projects were featured in editorials in several publications! You can find the Cromwell Residence, Rob Roy Remodel, Frazier Residence and Pilot Point Residence projects published in the pages of Western Art & Architecture, Austin Home, Custom Builder, and Dallas Style & Design Magazines. We were thrilled for our Wallis Residence to earn the cover feature of Luxe Interiors + Design Nov./Dec. Issue!
On the commercial side of things, we were excited to get some recently completed projects photographed and up on the website! Office and church and medical oh my! If you haven't seen Central Texas Dermatology, TM5 Properties, Westside Church, Campus Advantage, Noble McClintock Orthodontics, and Lamm David Eyecare head over to our commercial gallery and check them out! We love watching our commercial portfolio continue to grow and diversify!
We are always looking for fun and talented individuals to join our team, and so we grew our Cornerstone family in 2019 by welcoming Bradley, Cassidy, Beatriz and Megan!
Speaking of our Cornerstone family, we definitely had a lot of fun together this year! We love our social events and 2019 gave us some pretty ridiculous and memorable team building experiences including axe-throwing at Urban Axes and bowling at High 5. Can you tell we like to dress up??
Halloween always brings out the weirdest in us, and our annual Thanksgiving potluck included a dessert wars competition, with a legit judge's panel and everything!
We rounded out the year at our annual holiday party. This year we did something a little different and hosted a holiday casino party at the Line Hotel downtown. And what better way to prepare for 2020 than making it a Roaring 20's theme!
With all the fun we had that evening, one of the best moments was when we presented the partners with their gifts...can you guess who is who??!
