2021: Reflecting Back

We would like to take a moment to share some highlights from this past year at Cornerstone Architects that we celebrate as we look ahead to 2022!

The 13th annual Modern Home Tour went virtual last year, and we were excited to be on board for the event! Founding partner, Mark Carlson, lead the audience through a tour of our Lake Travis Treehouse project...which also happens to be his personal vacation home!

Save the date - Saturday, February 19th - for this year's Modern Home Tour and check out our Stamford Residence!

We always love to see our projects come to life! These are a few amazing projects added to our custom residential portfolio and our commercial portfolio this past year. Be sure to browse our website for more images.

We also launched a gallery showcasing our coastal home projects. Cornerstone has recently designed numerous second homes along the Texas coast in Port Aransas, Rockport and Corpus Christi.

Cornerstone Architects is proud to have supported the Central Texas Food Bank again this year! Once with the '21 Steps Challenge last February and again in the Fall with a non-perishable food drive.

In doing our part to help with the ongoing Central Texas blood shortage, we brought the Bloodmobile to our parking lot and hosted a blood drive for We Are Blood!

To close out the year, we decorated holiday totes, filled them with all kinds of gift cards and goodies, and delivered them to the awesome nurses at Ascension Seton!

Finding ways to give back and support our community continues to be a paramount value here at Cornerstone ❤

Cornerstone had four award-winning projects in Austin Home Magazine's Home and Design Awards as well as being featured on their list for Austin's Best Architects in 2021! We were also thankful to have been voted Best of Houzz for the TENTH year in a row by the awesome Houzz community. Finally, you may have read about a couple of our projects in editorial features: Llano Ranch in Cowboys & Indians Magazine along with our Parismina Residence in Tribeza!

We are always on the lookout for fun and talented individuals to join our team! We were pleased to welcome Trenton, Tom, Yasmin, Gilbert, Ashley and Nicole to our Cornerstone family in 2021!

After a year on hiatus from social events, we were able to get back to having fun together again in 2021! We hosted happy hours, took a field trip to Heath Sparkling Wines, had a mini-golf competition at Dreamland, dressed-up in ridiculous costumes for a Fun Friday at TopGolf and rounded out the year with a long-awaited holiday party at the Fairmont Hotel. For a group with a work-hard, play-hard attitude we were thankful to be able to bring back the festivities!

⭐Looking back on 2021, our thoughts turn gratefully to those who have made our progress possible. It is in this spirit that we say thank you and best wishes for 2022.⭐
