Presented by the Modern Architecture + Design Society (MA+DS), the 2024 Austin Modern Home Tour is back again with a selection of inspiring contemporary homes! The MHT offers the unique opportunity to experience these homes first hand and learn from the creative minds who designed them! The tour will take place the weekend of February 24th and 25th from 10am to 5pm and will feature a total of fifteen homes, eight on Saturday and seven on Sunday. Cornerstone Architects is excited to have not one, but TWO projects featured on this year's Saturday lineup. Here is a sneak peek!
The design for this modern home near Mount Bonnell centered around capturing the beautiful lake and hill country views from the front while contending with a steep lot. Floor to ceiling windows on the west-facing façade maximize natural lighting and views to the lake and hill country, while large overhangs provide crucial solar shading from the intense Texas sun.

This inviting outdoor living oasis is accessible from the main living area as well as from the opposite-facing primary and guest suites. A secondary living area on the upper floor opens to an expansive covered terrace for incredible sunset views.

Westlake Guest House
This modern dwelling serves as a lavish guest house along the fairway of the Austin Country Club. The home is designed for entertaining and provides a luxurious retreat for private guests. The guest house features a bedroom suite on each floor and sits atop steep terrain overlooking the golf course and creek below. The main level is comprised of an open living and dining area, as well as a full-size kitchen. Large sliding glass doors open to a spacious outdoor living and summer kitchen space. The lower level features a second living area complete with a golf simulator for entertainment, a small gym with an infrared sauna and a study. A golf cart garage, separate from the two-car garage, allows guests direct access to one of the oldest existing golf clubs in Texas.
